Second Lieutenant Paul Hartley Raney (25 December 1892 – 21 August 1917) was a Canadian fighter pilot in the First World War.Born in Toronto, he attended West Toronto Public School, St.
Andrew's College from 1906 to 1908, and Oakwood Collegiate.He studied Applied Science from 1910 onwards, graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto in 1914.
Raney enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps to fight in the First World War, training to become a fighter pilot.
After a very short tour of duty, he was shot down and killed in action on 21 August 1917.
