Reinhold Moritzevich Glière (born Reinhold Ernest Glier, which was later converted for standardization purposes;Russian: Рейнгольд Морицевич Глиэр; 11 January 1875 [O.S. 30 December 1874] – 23 June 1956), was a Russian Imperial and Soviet composer of German and Polish descent.
In 1938, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of RSFSR (1935), and People's Artist of USSR (1938).
