Joseph Eugene Ransdell (October 7, 1858 – July 27, 1954) was an attorney and politician from Louisiana.Beginning in 1899, he was elected for seven consecutive terms as United States representative from Louisiana's 5th congressional district.
He subsequently served for three terms in the United States Senate from Louisiana before being defeated in the 1930 Democratic primary for the seat by Governor Huey Long.
