Hermann Oberth

Hermann Julius Oberth (German: ['h?rman 'ju?li??s 'o?b?rt]; 25 June 1894 – 28 December 1989) was an Austro-Hungarian-born German physicist and engineer.

He is considered one of the founding fathers of rocketry and astronautics, along with Robert Esnault-Pelterie, Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, Robert Goddard and Herman Potocnik.During WWII he supported Nazi Germany's Aggregat rocket program.
