John Joseph Keane (September 12, 1839 – June 22, 1918) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church.He served as the archbishop of the Archdiocese of Dubuque in Iowa from 1900 to 1911.
He previously served as bishop of the Diocese of Richmond in Virginia from 1878 to 1888.Keane was a founder of the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., serving as its first rector from 1886 to 1896.
