John James Powers

John James Powers (July 3, 1912 – May 8, 1942) was a United States Navy officer and a recipient of the United States military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions in World War II.

He was born in New York City on July 3, 1912 and graduated from the U.S.Naval Academy in 1935.
